Roatan Island Tour
Roatan is a beautiful, Caribbean island boasting tropical jungles and an abundance of native wildlife and cultural heritage. The Roatan Island will allow you a brief glimpse at island life as well as a typical lunch and a spot of souvenirs shopping.
The island tour includes:
1. Leaving at 8.30am, first stop is Gumbalinba Park. A beautiful, botanic garden, perfect for taking pictures and getting in touch with nature. Enjoy yourself, watching and interacting with the playful monkeys and talkative parrots.
2. Next stop will be Coxen Hole City, to do some shopping, browsing the port town and getting a taste of the Caribbean way of life (it’s probably not what you expect).
3. We then move on to the Iguanas farm, where you can see the descendants of the dinosaurs. Almost 4.000 iguanas live in this protected environment - Iguanas used to be a primary source of protein for the Roatan islanders but now they are protected.
4. Then it’s time for lunch! We stop in to a typical island restaurant where we`ll enjoy a tasty island menu while we refresh before going out into the sun.
5. We finish the tour at West End village, just on the coast and widely known as the party capital of the island because of the bars, restaurants and gift shops that you will find there. It shouldn’t be in party mode while we’re there but there is a chance for you to grab a beer or a cold drink while you stroll down the main street.
