ARTIS – Supporting community and culture through the Arts

HM Resorts created ARTIS as a community initiative designed to provide opportunities and income to the less fortunate artists on Roatan.

Our objective is to support the development and continual learning of independent artists and to assist them to achieve their goals. By offering them a space to create and perform their art and a forum to sell it, we create jobs, highlight their work for our visiting guests and raise the profile of Roatan talent.

The ARTIS project incorporates art from many disciplines; music, painting, photography, theatre, circus, sculpture, arts and crafts, audiovisual, even educational workshops.

By reaching out to different artists, with different artistic mediums, to become part of our program, we are able to divide them into different areas and create mentorships among the younger participants.

Throughout the year we will hold exhibitions and shows to showcase their work and bring culture and joy to our guests at the same time.
